Spaghetti with tomato, bacon and chilli

Serves 3

Ingredients

  • 1 red onion
  • 8 rashers unsmoked bacon
  • Dried chilli (as much as you want, depending on how spicy you like your food)
  • 400g fresh tomatoes, chopped
  • A splash of white wine
  • Passata
  • Parmesan/Pecorino

Method

  • Gently fry the onion, bacon and chilli for ~5 minutes
  • Add the tomatoes and wine and cook for another 20 minutes
  • Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions (usually about 10 minutes)
  • Combine the spaghetti with the passata and other sautéed ingredients, gently heat and mix together
  • Serve topped with the grated cheese
